Guidelines

General Information

Travel grants will be considered twice a year with applications due on June 1, and December 1. The upper limit for all travel awards will be $4,000. The allowed costs for attendance at workshops will be considered on case by case basis. Research expenses will not be awarded. Participants will be limited to one travel award per year. Requests made outside the June/December schedule may be awarded if remaining funds are available. New guidelines will be forthcoming. Please contact the INBRE administrative staff with travel requests.

Eligibility

NM-INBRE Network Participants can apply for travel funds to support the utilization of resources within the network, or for attending specialized training opportunities within or outside the state. Anticipated types of travel would include travel for the uses of core equipment or facilities, or for specialized, intensive training at an institution such as the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories.

Selection Criteria

The Steering Committee will select travel grants for funding based on the anticipated benefit from the proposed training/research opportunity to the INBRE mission. Priority will be given for funding the travel requests of the pilot project investigators, but the remaining funds will be available for other network participants.
