On behalf of the IDeA Network for Biomedical Research
Excellence (INBRE), we invite you to the New Mexico
Bioinformatics Symposium (NMBIS) March 6-7, 2008 in
Santa Fe, NM. The focus of this year's
symposium is
Next Generation Sequencing Technologies,
Analysis,
and Applications.
The NMBIS, now in its fourth year, is a premier
educational
event for the Southwest region featuring
internationally renowned speakers.
Over 175 attendees have already registered for this year's
symposium within academia, industry and government.
The two-day program begins 1:00 pm Thursday afternoon, March 6,
with application and technology talks followed by an evening
poster session social. It continues all-day Friday,
March 7, with a speaker session. Breakfast and lunch will be
served Friday. Please see the

Call for Poster Abstracts

The NMBIS Organizing Committee invites you to submit
a poster abstract of your scientific research for
presentation at the poster session on Thursday, March 6,
2008. Although the
program will focus on Next Generation Sequencing Technologies,
Analysis and Applications,
undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged
to attend and present their work from any area of
bioinformatics.
STUDENTS WHO SUBMIT POSTERS ATTEND FREE!
Student speaking slot: One or two student
speakers will be selected from the poster abstract
submissions to give a presentation of
their work during Friday's speaker
presentations. If you would like to be
considered for this opportunity, be sure to
check the student presentation check box in
the registration form. The selected student
speaker(s) will be notified by March 3, 2008.

The symposium will be held at the
