This is a list of resources the NIH provides, including their main web site, information about funding opportunities, and training programs that are available.

• NIH Office of Extramural Research Funding Opportunities : This is the main entry point for information about NIH funding opportunities for grants, research contracts, research training, peer review and the NIH Guide.
• NIH Office of Extramural Research (for Research Grants): Leads to information about NIH grant and fellowship programs, applying for a grant or fellowship, policy changes, administrative responsibilities of awardees, peer review policies and procedures, the CRISP database, and the numbers and characteristics of awards made by the NIH. Managed by the Office of Extramural Research (OER).
• NIH Contracting Information and Resources : This site contains information about Requests for Proposals and resources for those preparing proposals. Information on selected R&D Requests for Proposal (RFPs) is managed by the Office of Contracts Management (OCM).
• NIH Research Training & Research Career Development: The NIH web site dedicated to Biomedical Research Training Resources and Opportunities. It has been designed to incorporate information about intramural and extramural training opportunities of the 21 NIH Institutes and Centers.
• The Center for Scientific Review : The Center for Scientific Review (CSR) manages the initial review groups that most of the investigator-initiated application. It is also the entry point for application receipt and referral.
• NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts : The Guide is the official document for announcing the availability of NIH funds for biomedical and behavioral research and research training and disseminating policy and administrative information.
• Resources for New Investigators : The website describes current policies, data related to the influx of new investigators, resources that new investigators can use to understand and work with the NIH, and helpful hints that might be useful in constructing a first application for NIH support. The OER solicits additional suggestions for non-commercial content for this website.
