A multitude of resources support the NM-INBRE research network.  Two main cores, the Chemical Biology and Screening Collaborative Core and the Sequencing and Informatics Core support IDeA researchers throughout the state, regionally , and nationally.

o The Chemical Biology and Screening Collaborative Core empowers molecular and cellular biologists with new chemical tools and approaches providing novel opportunities for drug discovery. Housed at the New Mexico Institute of Mining & Technology (NMT) partner institution, the Chemical and Biological Screening Core is making significant progress identifying novel bioactive compounds as leads for drug discovery.   READ MORE

o The Sequencing and Bioinformatics Core, housed at the National Center for Genome Resources partner institution, has an incredible leveraged sequencing capacity with eight Illumina GAIIx's, HiSeq2000 and Pacific Biosciences 3rd generation sequencing instrumentation.
