Faculty and student participants with the New Mexico INBRE program may be eligible for travel grants. Please read the guidelines below for eligibility requirements and deadlines.

Guidelines

General Information

Travel grants will be considered throughout the year as necessary. The upper limit for all travel awards will be $4,000. The allowed costs for attendance at workshops will be considered on case by case basis. Research expenses will not be awarded. Eligibility

NM-INBRE Network Participants can apply for travel funds to support the utilization of resources within the network, or for attending specialized training opportunities within or outside the state. Anticipated types of travel would include travel for the uses of core equipment or facilities, or for specialized, intensive training at an institution such as the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories.

Selection Criteria

The Steering Committee will select travel grants for funding based on the anticipated benefit from the proposed training/research opportunity to the NM-INBRE mission. Priority will be given for funding the travel requests of the pilot project investigators, but the remaining funds will be available for other network participants.

Written Proposal Format

The following information must be included with the Travel Request Form:
Section 1 : Describe in 200 words or less the need for such training and its importance to the fulfillment of the INBRE mission.
Section 2 : Describe in 150 words or less the course or site of training. Provide any supporting documentation such as letter of support from Head of laboratory with whom you wish to visit.
Section 3 : Describe in 150 words or less the proposed training.
Section 4 : Describe in 150 words or less your plans for disseminating expertise and resources as a result of this training.
Section 5 : Detailed Budget with Justification (Note Research Supplies not allowed).
